The 2013 IGLA Pink Flamingo Follies should not be missed by anyone! The Pink Flamingo originated here in Seattle as part of a relay and made its debut in IGLA at the 1989 IGLA championships in Vancouver, BC.
The Pink Flamingo came out of the closet and revealed itself as a full blown queer extravaganza. The best way to describe it now is a drag/aqua follies/synchro show in water. It has to be seen to be believed!
While a show it may be, the competition is fierce! Teams put together a number and are judged for originality, presentation, artistry, form and camp.
Plan on being in Federal Way to watch the Pink Flamingo Follies! Bring your goggles because with the 2013 IGLA Pink Flamingo Follies – It Gets Wetter!
The Pink Flamingo Follies will start at 4:30 pm in the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center Pool.
From Noon until 4:30 pm, there will be a beer garden behind the Aquatic Center where you can relax after a hard swim and grab a quick beer between watching the water polo championships, diving exhibitions and synchro competitions.
